Super Contract for Superjail
Stacks Image 8
T&S is playing a critical part in a new £120m ‘superjail’ to be built in Scotland.

HMP Grampian is a 500 place new prison development which will replace HMP Aberdeen and HMP Peterhead. Until recently it looked as though the project could be affected by the Government’s cutbacks, but now the go-ahead has been given, which is great news for T&S.

We have been awarded a multi million pound contract to supply high security grilles and anti ligature windows and cell doors amongst many other security products for contractors, Skanska.

It was T&S’ market leading innovation and proven track record on many of the largest custodial projects in recent years - including the 1700 cell HMP Featherstone - that helped secure the valuable contract. Our market-leading management experience in the prison sector, both for NOMS and SPS, was central to Skanska’s decision to place the work with T&S.

The work will start immediately, and a tight fabrication programme will run throughout 2012. This, and other new orders, will help T&S maintain its position as the market leader for doors, grilles and windows security projects within the UK custodial sector.
