Confirming its reputation as the UK’s leading supplier of grilles and windows for secure accommodation, T&S Group has just landed another significant contract as part of a refurbishment project at Highpoint Prison in Suffolk.

T&S was awarded the £700,000 contract to manufacture 370 replacement windows and grilles by main contractors Wates, as part of a project to improve the efficiency of older buildings in the prison. The T&S windows are thermally efficient units designed to reduce fuel usage and improve the buildings’ environmental score.

T&S has worked with Wates previously, on other major contracts, and has transferred the successful introduction of innovation from these projects to Highpoint. One of those recent projects was at Morton Hall Immigration Detention Centre in Lincolnshire, where members of the T&S Security Engineering team worked with Wates on the successful bid, before being awarded the work.

Work is expected to start on the window and grille units for Highpoint at T&S in November. The units incorporate proven design and fitting solutions that reduce risk, time and cost.
